Description:
Adriaan Van Royen has very little to answer to Linnaeus’s very gentle letter full of learned observations, since one of those days he will come and free Linnaeus from his monastery for one or two days. So Linnaeus may expect him on Thursday [1737-03-07], about dinner time, or, what is more likely, next Friday [1737-03-08] at 10 o’clock in the morning. He will ask him as much as possible about the Acacia, the Mimosa, the Sena, and the Cassia. Van Royen concludes by asking Linnaeus to greet his host on his behalf.
